From one side it appears as though Adam is standing in the center of the transparent structure; from the other side it appears as though Eve is standing there instead. Everything that appears to be landscape beyond them is actually a reflection of a similar landscape in front of them. Because of the position of the photographs on the mirrors and the interference of the reflected perforated walls, the tell-tale qualities of the mirror remain hidden from the viewer. The central "shrine" is separated from the surrounding landscape by a text of "knowledge". Pages from a scientific journal create a zone of diagrams, equations, and formulae. The text in the journal is so abstract that it reads as poetry with titles such as "The Interference of Irregular Bodies."
